PROFIL

Louis Derwa graduated from the University of Liège. He is a member of the Brussels Bar since 1989. He worked previously with Marc De Kock (former president of the Dutch Brussels Bar), Bernard Remiche(now Sybarius) and associated with Riquier Derwa Sluse (now Iuris). He is at the moment associated with L.IN.K.
Louis specializes in commercial and sport law.

In commercial law, his experience covers virtually many aspects of the commercial regulation (contracts) with a particular focus on small companies and judicial reorganization procedure. Louis often pleads the Commercial Courts. He is nominated as judge-substitute at the Brussels Commercial Court.

Louis is especially active in the field of sport. He was a former soccer player, president of an amateur club and corporate council of a professional soccer club as well. He was a member of the Licence Commission at URBSFA (Belgian soccer federation). At present, he is an arbitrator member of the Cour Belge d’Arbitrage pour le Sport (CBAS-BAS) and author of “Sport Law” (Ed.Kluwer, 402 p.) and frequently published on sports issues.

He participates to numerous Sport Conferences.
He is lecturer at the Practical School of High Commercial Study.(EPHEC)
